Food and Beverage Kiosk - Lease & Operate - Paringa Reserve - Elliott Street, Balmain - IWC EOI 1-24

Iner West Council (Council) is a local government area located in the inner west region of metropolitan Sydney. On 12 May 2016, it was formed from the merger of the Leichhardt, Ashfield and Marrickville councils.

Council acknowledges that the Paringa Reserve is located on the lands of the Gadigal and Wangal peoples of the Eora nation.

Council is seeking Expressions of Interest (EOI) from suitably qualified and experienced food and beverage operators, who possess and can demonstrate the desire and passion to establish, manage and nurture a successful kiosk operation, that will be integrated with and become part of the wider Balmain community.

Council is seeking sustainable, healthy and innovative food and beverage proposals that will promote and facilitate improvements to the amenity, vibrancy and increased use of Paringa Reserve and surrounding areas by the local community, public users and visitors.

The successful Proponent will be required to embrace and deliver excellence in customer service, quality, range and seasonal variety of products to meet consumer demands and expectations in sustainable and environmentally conscious ways.

The EOI will be managed as a single stage procurement process to assess, shortlist and recommend a successful Proponent. This process will mitigate Proponents time, potential costs and resources in preparing and lodging proposals for evaluation by Council.

Accordingly, Council encourages all Proponents to prepare and submit proposals – using Part B (Returnable Documents) – that are fully detailed, complete and which include all support documents. This will ensure the submitted proposals have sufficient merit and every opportunity to be comprehensively evaluated.

Council will evaluate all responses in accordance with the Evaluation Criteria set out in the EOI document, to ensure both compliance and best value for the community is achieved.

Council anticipates that the location will be available for handover to the successful Proponent for completion of final fit-out and soft-launch activities from approximately mid-August 2024. This date may be subject to change.
