Tender Details

Blacktown City Council is pleased to invite Expressions of Interest for the redevelopment of the Warrick Lane site which provides an exciting opportunity for an innovative urban renewal project within the Blacktown CBD.

Blacktown is the most highly populated Local Government Area in NSW with almost 300,000 residents. Council is seeking the redevelopment of the site to create a commercial core with the aim of stimulating economic and employee growth and environmentally sustainable development.

The site comprises an area of approximately 3.36 hectares and currently accommodates a number of older style retail and commercial buildings and an open air public carpark. It straddles the main western railway adjoining the Blacktown City Centre and Blacktown Rail Station, one of the busiest transport hubs of the metropolitan network. The Blacktown CBD has excellent links to the M4, M7 and M2 motorways.

As an option, Council is also offering the opportunity for the redevelopment of the current Council Chambers and Civic Centre precinct on the basis of provision of a new Civic Centre and community facilities either on the current site and/or an alternative site. The area of the Civic Centre site is 1.3 hectares.
