Tender Details

1.1.1              The site is located at North ? West of Elizabeth Dr and Smithfield Road intersection, Bonnyrigg Heights.  The site is approximately about 30 Km from the Sydney Central Business District.

1.1.2              The civil work has already been awarded to a specialised contractor (main contractor) and the construction has now been commenced for the proposed basin, rockwork, drainage work etc.  The landscape contractor must liaise with the main contractor at any convenient time to carry out the landscaping works. 

1.1.3               The contract work shall be in accordance with the construction plans and relevant specifications including, but not limited to:

a)            Carry out detailed excavation if necessary to prepare the area for landscaping work including planting blocks.

b)            Spread imported topsoil (refer clause C2 of the specification). The mix must be approved by the Superintendent's Representative.  

c)            Supply and install turf (Kikuyu Turf) including maintenance.

d)            Supply and install Ground covers as per the details provided.  

e)            Supply and install reinforced turf (in maxi rolls).

f)              Supply and install pot-sized plants as per the details provided.

g)            Supply and install erosion control matting (as per the specification) including pins (min 3 per sqm).

h)            Prepare and submit for approval a Sediment Control plan and install sediment control measures as proposed, maintain during construction and remove on completion of the works.

i)              Submit Project Management Plan including Safe Work Method Statement (SWM) for the works, project specific requirements, sub-contractors and suppliers details, Occupational Health & Safety information, Environmental Management etc; The Safe Work Method Statement must be submitted prior to the commencement of any construction work on site.  The SWM must identify potential hazards, hazard control measures, level of risk of all individual work items, the type of risks, proposed risk management etc.  In addition to the above, the contractor must submit a soil and water management plan prior to the commencement of any construction work on site.

1.1.4              The Contract for the works as specified and as shown on the drawings shall take the form of a Lump Sum contract.

c)            The Tenderer warrants that it has not, within 3 years prior to submitting a Tender, been found guilty of breaching any Act or Regulation which breach might be considered contrary to the values and principles of good corporate citizenship. Such Acts include, without limitation; Workplace Relations Act 1996 (Cth), Industrial Relations Act 1996 (NSW), Occupational Health & Safety Act 2000 (NSW), Workplace Injury Management & Workers Compensation Act 1998 (NSW), Equal Opportunity for Women in the Workplace Act 1999, Disability Discrimination Act 1992 (Cth), Human Rights (Sexual Conduct) Act 1994 (Cth), Racial Discrimination Act 1975 (Cth), Sex Discrimination Act 1984 (Cth), Age Discrimination Act 2004 (Cth), Anti-Discrimination Act 1977 (NSW), Disability Services Act 1986 (Cth).

d)            Council's policy is to engage in the highest standards of ethical behaviour and fair dealing. Council requires the same standards from those with whom it contracts. Tenderers acknowledge Council's Code of Conduct, as adopted by Council in accordance with the Local Government Act 1993 (NSW). The tenderer acknowledges that they have read and understand the relevant Code of Conduct (a copy of which may be obtained from FCC's website) available on request) and agree to comply with the requirements referred to therein.
