Tender Details

Council annually invites tenders for the hire of following types of plant to be used on Council work. Alltendered items of plant that meet the requirements of these tender documents will be accepted at the ordinary meeting of Council and placed on a listing of plant for hire.

A-1 Hire of Plant with Operator:

Backhoe Loader - ERG Class BL3: Dig Depth > 4m ≤ 5m

Backhoe Loader – ERG Class BL3 and Truck Combination

Crawler Mounted Backhoe Excavator - ERG Class HX4: Operating Weight > 6 t ≤ 8 t

Crawler Mounted Backhoe Excavator - ERG Class HX5: Operating Weight > 8 t ≤ 11.5 t

Crawler Mounted Backhoe Excavator - ERG Class HX6: Operating Weight >11.5 t ≤ 16 t

Crawler Mounted Backhoe Excavator - ERG Class HX7: Operating Weight > 16 t ≤ 21 t

Crawler Mounted Backhoe Excavator - ERG Class HX8: Operating Weight > 21 t ≤ 26 t

Motor Grader ERG Class MG6: Net Engine Power > 90KW ≤ 100kW

Motor Grader ERG Class MG7: Net Engine Power > 100KW ≤ 110kW

Water Cart ≥5000 Litres - <10000 Litres Capacity with Standard spray bar and attachments.

Water Cart ≥10000 Litres - ≤20000 Litres Capacity with Standard spray bar and attachments.

Skidsteer Loaders - ERG Class SSL3: Rated load > 500kg ≤ 650kg with 4 in 1 bucket, and attachments

Skidsteer Loaders - ERG Class SSL4: Rated load > 650kg ≤ 850kg with 4 in 1 bucket, and attachments

Skidsteer Loaders – ERG Class SSL3 or SSL4 and Truck Combination

Earthworks Compactors – Unballasted operating weight > 18t ≤ 22 t

Earthworks Compactors – Unballasted operating weight > 22 t ≤ 26 t

Spyder Excavator (for creek works): 6 t ≤ 8 t with general purpose bucket and attachments.

A-2 Hire of Plant without Operator:

Self Propelled Vibratory Roller - ERG Class single drum padfoot RR7: > 5t ≤ 8.8t

Self Propelled Vibratory Roller - ERG Class single drum padfoot RR8: > 8.8t ≤ 12.5t

Self Propelled Vibratory Roller - ERG Class single drum smooth drum RR7: > 5t ≤ 8.8t

Self Propelled Vibratory Roller - ERG Class single drum smooth drum RR8: > 8.8t ≤ 12.5t

Prospective tenderers can either download the tender documents free of charge from www.tenders.nsw.gov.au/wsroc or obtain them from Council at the front counter on the ground floor of Blacktown City Council Administration Centre, 62 Flushcombe Road, Blacktown 2148.

Tenderers can either lodge the tenders in Council’s tender box at the ground floor of Blacktown City Council Administration Centre, in a sealed envelope addressed “Contract No. 9/2009 – Hire of Plant 2009/2010” or submit electronically via the above website.

Completed and signed tender form and other schedules shall be submitted with certificates of currency of Insurance and Registration as detailed in the tender documents.
