Tender Details

This tender is only in relation to Parkes Mechanical Plant upgrade and shall be known as Stage 1 works.

Stage 2 works will be completed separately from this tender approximately 12 weeks post Stage 1 works completion.  Stage 2 works will comprise of recommissioning of field Mechanical systems, air and water balancing.  The intent of stage 2 works will be to return the system to the original redevelopment design specification intended in 2015.   

This project and tender will be managed in accordance with Minor Works 21 (MW21) contract standard documents. 

You are requested to provide a Proposal/Tender submission by the tender closing date.   

• Managing Contractor basis on the following;

• Fixed sum for supply and construction of Stage 1 Mechanical plant only.

• Managed through MW21Contract (Minor Works Contract) Note- MW21 Contract Documents have been included as information only and do not require completion as part of the tender process other than, MW21 Tender Schedules- Schedule of prices-Lump Sum.  Relevant MW21 contract documents will be issued to the successful tenderer for completion upon award.

• MW21 Tender shall be a Two Envelope Tender.

• Tender submission will be as per 1.2 Designwithin this document.

• Provide as part of tender submission which will form part of the tender evaluation,

• Schedule of prices- Lump sum break down (As per Appendix A-f “ MW21-Tender Schedules) 

• Summary of Capabilities (Current staff skillset)

• Summary of Experience (Experience with similar projects)

• Provide as part of tender submission, Programme (Project timeline) as per the agreed scope of works.

 

WNSWLHD Manager Capital Works has engaged a designer to prepare design scope of works documentation, which has been reviewed and approved by the LHD.  No changes or substitution to the design scope shall be made without written approval from WNSWLHD Capital Works Manager.  Lump sum tender submissions shall be completed as per below to capture and include;

 

1.       Parkes Chiller Upgrade Scope.

a.     (Appendix B – Chiller Scope – Project 2024-01)

b.     Model- Air Plus 1000 Chiller.  Project Code- Air Plus 1MW7-12NSW

c.     Supplier- Temtec Australasia Pty Ltd – Peter Hinz- 0410 489 875 - peter@temperaturetec.com

 

2.       Parkes Buffer Tank Scope- AVBT4000-CO

a.     (Appendix C – Buffer Tank Scope – Project 2024-01)

 

3. Tendered sum to include 24 Month warranty and 24 Month preventative maintenance on Chillers and associated equipment.  The frequency of servicing shall also be as per manufactures specifications and Australian Standards.  This warranty period shall commence from the date that the Principals Authorised Person (PAP) on behalf of WNSWLHD issues a signed MW21-11a- Respond to the Contractor notification of completion.

 

4. Liaise with the current facility Building Management System (BMS) provider, to enable interface and operationalisation of chillers and associated equipment.  WNSWLHD will engage the BMS provider separately from this tender.

 

5. Existing Chiller compressors x 2 to remain the property of Parkes Hospital and remain onsite once removed as part of these works by the contractor.

 

6. All other replaced plant and associated equipment to be removed from site by the Contractor and scraped.

 

7. Responsibility for WHS as the Principal Contractor.
