Burrendong Dam Outlet Works Refurbishment of 60 inch RFG Valve No 2
The Burrendong Dam Outlet Works consists of three 60 inch diameter bifurcates branching off the main penstock. Each 60 inch diameter bifurcate has a Ring Follower Gate (RFG) Valve acting as the Emergency Guard Valve. The No. 2 RFG Valve is due for refurbishment.

Burrendong Dam Intake Tower Fixed Wheel Gate Hydraulic Control System Upgrade
The Fixed Wheel Gate (FWG) is lowered and raised by a hydraulic ram controlled from a hydraulic control cabinet situated in the top of the Intake Tower. The existing installation presents access restrictions for performing maintenance and repair work. It was put into service over 40 years ago and has not been overhauled or upgraded during that time.
